The first ever South Asian festival in Garden Square, Downtown Brampton

 

BRAMPTON, ON: Garden Square in Downtown Brampton is all set to come alive to the sights and sounds of South Asian culture with Vibrant Brampton on July 23, 3 – 11 pm. Organized by the non-profit group Arts and Culture Initiative of South Asian (ACISA) Vibrant Brampton is a free event that will bring a fun-filled day-long festival, for the first time ever, to the heart of Brampton – Garden Square in front of the Rose Theatre.

The event includes an exciting lineup of artistes that will appeal to all – young and the young-at-heart. From upcoming local stars to well-known names in the entertainment industry, Vibrant Brampton is the place to be on July 23. With support from the City of Brampton, Vibrant Brampton aims to promote cross-cultural understanding with the hope of bringing a diverse community together in celebration of life, culture, art and tradition. Dance to the beats of Bollywood or sway to the diverse music from India or get a taste of the mouth-watering cuisine from South Asia or buy a souvenir, it will be a day to remember.

  • Fateh Doe—Punjabi Rap (Much Music Artist)

  • Shiamak Davar Dance Academy-Bollywood Dancing

  • Avengers—Nadeem Ali + Parag Ray (Pakistan)

  • Rasika Group— Indian Classical Music

  • Panwar Music and Dance—Indian Classical-Kathak

  • Bhangra & Gidda

  • Prima Group—Tollywood/Tamil Dancing

  • Bangladeshi dance
