Brampton’s largest South Asian Festival, #VibrantBrampton will come alive this year in an exciting e-format. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the 5th annual festival is formatted to be fully digital via live-streamed content on social media.

Organized by the non-profit arts organization, Arts & Culture Initiative of South Asia (ACISA), this festival is an amalgamation of culture and diversity in Ontario. The festival promotes local talent and includes an exciting line-up of emerging artists and well-known names in the entertainment industry that appeals to all ages.

#VibrantBrampton will now run every Tuesday and Wednesday from July 21 till August 5, 2020.

The non-profit ACISA is also launching #VibrantStar– a talent hunt contest that will have 6 finalists vying to be sensations in three different genres of performing arts – vocal, instrumental and dance. The event seeks to groom musical and dancing talent by providing an opportunity to perform in Brampton’s largest arts, culture and heritage festival, #VibrantBrampton. Online auditions will begin from the week of June 15 followed by quarter finals in the week of July 13, culminating into finale which begins the week of July 20, 2020.

Believing there is a big vacuum for Classical artists to showcase their art forms in GTA, the team at ACISA also thought of launching a new segment called “Vibrant-Classical” early this year. The unprecedented times which we all are going through did not deter the team to move ahead with its panning and launch. Vibrant Classical is scheduled to run every Thursday starting August 20 for three consecutive weeks until September 3, 2020, as an online format.

More than ever, now is when arts and music and culture have the power to not only uplift spirits but also to bring people together in these unprecedented times. Our festivals endeavour to do just that.
