Tyler Winder – as “Jack Kelly” – performing July 26th and July 27th – at the Rose Theatre
Tyler is so thankful to be a part of this amazing cast as Jack Kelly! Though this is his first time with BMT, he is no stranger to the stage. With Marquee Theatre Productions, he has taken on many roles including: Flotsam in The Little Mermaid and Benjamin/The Baker in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He has also performed as Jesus, in Jesus Christ Superstar at Sheridan College, where he also studied in their Performing Arts Preparation Program. Most recently, he just finished playing Aladdin in Burloak’s annual Pantomime. Tyler thanks God, along with all those in his life for their support, as he pursues his dreams in the acting profession! He is extremely excited to be participating in the Vibrant Brampton Festival and supporting BMT.
Jessica Dominicis as “ Katherine Plumber” – performing July 27th – at the Rose Theatre
Jessica was absolutely thrilled to be cast as Katherine Plumber in Brampton Music Theatre’s production of Newsies. Last year, she graduated from of York University’s Theatre program and continued her passion for choreography and teaching dance. Now, Jessica is excited to be back with BMT, this time performing on the beautiful Rose Theatre stage with yet another amazing cast. Jessica grew up listening and idolizing Disney characters, which is why she feels lucky to play and learn from such a complex and empowering leading lady. Katherine is a true trailblazer who stands up and advocates for herself. She is the “Disney princess” we didn’t know we wanted, but definitely needed! Jessica would like to send all her love and gratitude to her family for their endless support. Past credits include: Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, Allana in The Little Mermaid & Baby June in Gypsy. She is extremely proud to be participating in the festival representing BMT.
Christopher Martel as “ Crutchie” – performing July 27th – at the Rose Theatre
Newsies was Christopher’s 5th show with Brampton Music Theatre, and he is incredibly excited that it happens to be one of his favourite shows of all time! He is ecstatic to have the opportunity to play a character greatly emblematic of courage; a definite change of pace compared to some of his past roles in West Side Story and Jesus Christ Superstar where he played A-rab the Jet and Simon the Zealot respectively. He is happy that his year off after graduating from the Etobicoke School of the Arts Music Theatre program has been filled with the same immense joy and energy Newsies brings to the table. Chris would like to show his gratitude to his friends and family for their endless support for his love of theatre, and his hopeful future in the industry. Chris would like to thank BMT and Vibrant Brampton Festival directors for the opportunity to perform once again on stage as part of this festival.
