Sukanya Nritangan

Dance is one of the oldest art forms of the world and dance is called the mother of all arts. Anthropologist believes that it started with the earliest human beings, developing as part of magical or religious ceremonies. Children respond to dance even before they learn to speak. As a classical and folk dancer, Aruna Haider trained hard from an early age alongside her mother Sultana Haider. The urge to impart knowledge of dance made her follow the footsteps of her mother and she founded Shukanya Nrittangan in Toronto. Despite the obstacles faced, she has groomed many students into good dancers as lots of audiences have witnessed throughout the years.
