Enakshi Sinha

Enakshi Sinha is one of the leading Odissi dancers in North America Enakshi residing in Toronto , cultivated a lifelong devotion to Indian Classical dance. Her active performance career spans for the last 17 years that includes performing in major festivals of India, Europe & North America.  She visits India seasonally to perform in dance festivals of India and to conduct dance workshops. Sinha is the Recipient of 2017 Women Achiever Award from Dancing Damsels organization and 2017 Appreciation Award from Toronto Sanskriti Sangstha. In 2014 with her credit she also received International Nritya Shiromoni Award from Orissa, India for preserving and propagating Indian classical dance in Canada. At present Enakshi is the Artistic Director of her dance institution ‘Mrudanga Dance Academy’, involved in the training of a new generation of dancers in Greater Toronto Area and Windsor. For the past three years Mrudanga have hosted two day dance festival “Umang – Light of Hopes” in Windsor inviting internationally acclaimed artistes from India & North America.
