Desna School

DESNA School is a Toronto-based Ukrainian dance school under the artistic direction of Luba & Yuri Grekov. This is a place where children not only experience Ukrainian culture and tradition, but also create lasting friendships and attain unforgettable memories.  DESNA School consists of children aged 2 to 14, who practice once a week at the Plast Huculak Centre. Our dancers have performed on many stages including Nathan Phillips Square and The Living Arts Centre. This summer they will be travelling to Dauphin, MB & Chicago. Summer 2018 they will be travelling to Ukraine – to learn more about their heritage and where it all began. They will be performing dances from different regions of Ukraine. You will be seeing Polka, an embroidery dance, a character crow dance and even a sailor’s dance.
