Fusion Music

“Swaaga is a unique fusion band of two different cultures fusing its musical styles, those cultures being Spanish Flamenco and Indian Carnatic music. Our band consists of 4 young and talented stout musicians with heavy musical backgrounds. On the Flamenco end we have Ravish Kamath on the Flamenco guitar, and Saikha Baig on the Cajon and Flamenco guitar. Now on the Carnatic side, we have Geethiyaa Varman on the Veena and Yanchan Rajmohan on the Mirdangam. A young emerging group that loves to jam and improvise, we are eager to bring out the rich traditions of the respective cultures to the Canadian society.
